Hickory Grove Athletics is made up of 29 teams participating in 13 different sports for our student body beginning in the 6th grade. Our coaches and student-athletes are committed to excellence as we strive to pursue all that can be gained from sports. Our athletic program assists students in improving and developing physical, personal, and spiritual skills that can be applied to all areas of life.

Hickory Grove is a member of the North Carolina Independent School Athletic Association (NCISAA). Since joining the NCISAA in 2002, the Lions have won 6 state championships and received several other state tournament bids. Varsity teams compete at the 3A level and are members of the Metrolina Athletic Conference. Our teams have won 25 MAC Conference regular season and tournament championships.

We are proud of all of our athletes and their commitment to Hickory Grove Athletics. Our goal is to give our students the opportunity to reach their full potential from sports. Currently, we have 14 student-athletes who have graduated from our school and gone on to participate in interscholastic athletics at the college level. They continue to amaze and inspire us!

January 24, 2012
The Athletic Department is pleased to recognize Junior, Dustin Dodd, on his outstanding accomplishment of scoring 1,000 points for his career! Dustin has been a member of the Varsity Men's Basketball team for four years. Dustin scored his 1,000th point on Tuesday, January 31 vs. Northside Christian Academy. Dustin is only the third basketball player in school history to reach 1,000 points! Please help us congratulate Dustin on this wonderful achievement!
