Athletic Teams

Cross Country

Cross Country is open to boys and girls in grades 6 through 12. The team meets in mid-June through the end of October. The team competes in the North Carolina Independent Athletic Association (NCISAA).

Student-athletes must have a current physical/parent permission form completed before participating in any tryouts or practices. If you are not sure about your child's status, please contact the Athletic Office at (704) 531-3502 prior to the start of the athletic season.




End of Year Notes

The Cross Country team had an amazing season! Each athlete ended their season with a personal best time either at the Conference or State Meets.

Our Middle School team had competitive runs at each meet. The Middle School girls team often placed in the top 3-4  at most of our meets, and placed 2nd overall at the MAC 3A Conference Meet.

Katelyn Galloway led the Lady Varsity Lions team with a strong finish at the NCISAA State Championship finishing  2nd overall with a time of 21:58. She also finished 2nd overall at the Hare & Hounds Invitational with a time of 22:40.

The Varsity Men's team led by Andrew Garcia, Tyler O'Connor and Joseph Phillips had a strong showing this season. Andrew won the Hare & Hounds Invitational this year with a time of 18:21.

Congratulations to all of the Cross Country Athletes!! It was a true blessing to have served as your coach this year! I am so looking forward to next season. October 4th-dismissal 2:00, meet start 4:30
