Parents, should there be a critical incident within the United States, North Carolina, Charlotte, or on the HGBCS Campus, we will provide on this site, the vital information you will need for closing instructions.
This will include closing times, car line pick up process, and/or any other important information needed.

Inclement Weather Updates

Anytime inclement weather threatens, watch the following channels for updates on HGBCS closings:

• WBTV 3
• WSOC 9
• WCNC 36
• Note: Fox Channel 18 no longer broadcasts weather closings/delays.

In addition, you can listen to the following radio stations for updates on closings:

• New Life 91.9 (91.9 FM)

Please be aware that HGBCS closings are not necessarily the same as Hickory Grove Baptist Church or Charlotte-Mecklenburg School closings.

We do not delay opening of school. We are either closed or open.
