Memo To:  All interested in Volleyball Tryouts

Due to a church wide function, volleyball tryouts originally scheduled for Tuesday, August 5 has been cancelled.  Middle School tryouts will start on Thursday, August 7 at 5:30.  For girls interested in the JV team, they can come to practices with the varsity team on July 28 from 6:00-8:00.  If you have questions, please contact Andrew Kell via email at andrewk@hgbcs.org. Volleyball is open to girls in grades 6 through 12. Hickory Grove houses three volleyball teams which practice daily from late July until November.  The varsity team competes for both a conference title within the Metrolina Athletic Conference (MAC) as well as competing for a state title as a member of the North Carolina  Independent Athletic Association (NCISAA).

Student-athletes must have a current physical/parent permission form completed before participating in any tryouts or practices.  If you are unsure about your child’s status, please contact the Athletic Office at 704-531-3502 prior to the start of the athletic season.
