HGBCS Food Service provides for your children USDA approved, nutritionally balanced and proportionate meals.
In conjunction with providing healthy meals for our students, parents we ask that you please refrain from sending in or bringing in sodas for lunch. If your child brings a soda it will be sent back home and replaced with water. Research has shown that it is more beneficial for children to have juice, milk or water for mealtimes rather that soda.
***Parents: If you come to have lunch with your child, you must check in at the main office and receive your visitor's pass before proceeding to the classroom or lunchroom***

The school Lunch Menus are given out one month in advance and the orders for prepaid meals (for TK-1st grades only) are made one week in advance with the proper payment. Bagged lunches are available for TK-5th grades to purchase for $3.50 on the days the cafeteria is closed. Please check your lunch menu for these days and either pre-order a bagged lunch for TK-4th grades, or send money with 5th grade students on that day.
There is no CREDIT given for meals missed by the student. Please help us as much as possible by sending the correct change or pay by check (exact amount). Lunches and snacks sent
from home will not be refrigerated; however, the rooms are air conditioned. Microwaves are available at the discretion of the grade level.
The Snack Shop “Paws & Claws” HGBCS Food Service will provide a snack shop/short order grill for Middle School and High School students during their lunch time. This will provide alternative items that would appeal to this age group. Items offered will be prepared salad (Chef Salad, various side salads on a rotating basis), hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, bagels-n-cream cheese, yogurt, fruit, French fries, Nachos-n-Cheese, packaged snack items (chips, cookies, Hostess products, etc.), various beverages, and ice cream. All of the snack bar items will be charged a la carte.
