Volunteering at HGBCS

We welcome volunteers and appreciate your time.  As you know, the safety of our students and staff is a main priority for us; therefore, all volunteers are asked to submit an on-line volunteer application and undergo a background check.

You will need to contact Mrs. Chaffin in the Main School office at 704-531-4008 for the instructions and website link for the application.

Once your application has been submitted and your background check has been cleared, you will receive an e-mail that you must take the “training” which is our Child Protection Guidelines.  You will need to read them carefully, and return a signed copy to the Main School office agreeing to abide by them while volunteering.  Once your signed copy is received, you will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to get your badge.

A volunteer application is required if you will be helping with class parties, sports events, selling apparel, working the library, book fair, or going on field trips.

Again, we appreciate the time you give to the school, but more importantly, the time you are investing in your child.
